matt martin

06.01.03 - 08.31.03
Drawing upon abstraction in a Kandinskian context, Martin explores inward confronting the condition of human psyche. Intuitively, he references the stark line art of Franz Klein and incorporates the tonal emotion of california's bay area painters. In a collection of mostly non-representational pieces, his vision is often deeper than face value in exposing the underlying framework of the cosmos.

12.01.03 - 02.28.04
Paintings: they are to show truth - explain - or give insight into my vision and perspective. With that said, I must express raw energy in the present with both past and future speeding through space in opposite directions only leaving shadows of contrasting color in their wake - optical chaos.

03.01.03 - 05.31.03
This collection of work
was recently completed in the early months of
2004. Daryl, an accomplished artist and musician,
expresses himself on a canvas much as he does
with a guitar. Employing vibrant color and energetic
strokes, his mixed media works bring to life the raw
emotional energy of sound.
justin ladd

09.01.03 - 11.30.03
The diabolical mind of mass populaic contemporary visions are made
manifest in the recent work of Justin Ladd. Confronting the established
perception of the battle of the real vs. surreal, combined with inperceptible
growing weight of psychic amassment, and stationed in the everpresent
unfolds of living history, Ladd elicits insurmountable depth and demands
his viewer to question the state of their own psychic union.
collin breit

12.01.02 - 02.28.03
Utilizing multimedia in a combination of photo manipulated with gel emulsion, Collin Breit has taken seemingly ordinary photographs and worked them into sagacious levels of realism. This is an idea of escapology, not from locks or chains or prisons, but in the mind/body from the world, or even the eyeball from the landscape.
